Along the Silk Road
Since July 01, 2014, Architecture Contest events have become a staple of Megapolis. They have a timed duration in which the player can construct buildings, complete contracts, collect taxes, and house residents to acquire contest points toward placement on a leaderboard until the event is completed. After the timer reaches zero, the contest rewards can no longer be accessed and the special buildings are no more available. The lucky few on the top of the leaderboard gain unique buildings and rewards.
Since the inauguration on July 01, 2014 the contest was known as World Capitals then on April 24, 2015 it was referred by a new name: World Architecture (which relatively resembles structures from a particular country). The contest can also refer to a specific theme ("Winter", "Halloween") or to other ("Along the Silk Road"). On March 16, 2017, the regular contest arrangement was replaced by Modern Contests.
