Generally, there are three ways, how the player can compete with each other: Worldwide, Groups and Leagues. In worldwide competitions, all players around the globe or a certain part compete against each other at the same time. It looks different when a certain number of participants (usually 30) are formed into seperate groups. An algorithm ensures that the participants within a group are of the same strength or have the same rank. It's similar with league-based contests but the strength of the group participants determines which league they will play in and what the winning requirements and prizes are. The higher the league the more valuable the prizes. Over the years, various competitions have been developed in terms of concept and gameplay.
